The Pixies - Doolittle (33 rpm, 180 g)

This album comes from a time when there was the good old indie record store. As constantly new underground bands mushrooming in the US out of the ground. These were the days before Nirvana. One could these recordings even call MFSL 180g LP almost as audiophile. So fast it rarely goes down to business.

One year after the debut "Surfer Rosa" Gil Norton produced the second album of the Pixies, which precipitated this time significantly more accessible. The sound is still dirty, fast and determined by unintelligible vocals. But Charles Thompson alias "Black Francis" Hit had this time written by hit: "Debaser", "Waves of Mutilation," "Here Comes Your Man" and "Gouge Away" - just to name a few.

The British NME (New Musical Express) has to be as sustainable convinced that it has "Doolittle" named the second best album of all time.

The MFSL reissue appears in gatefold cover with 16 pages of text book in full format. Half-speed mastering by Rob Loverde.
