LP MFSL Foghat - Fool For The City

Foghat - Fool For The City (33 rpm, 180 g)

The British blues-rock combo Foghat had with the 1975 album "Fool for the City" finally the big breakthrough. After several small albums and years of touring with an increasingly subtle style of rocking blues number came with the single "Slow Ride" finally the breakthrough in the charts and the rousing songs with coining bass guitar found its audience.

Despite the origin in England Foghat just found with her reminiscent of the early ZZ-Top style a large audience. The basic principle of "it's only rock and roll" was never touched and the Disco and New Wave influences of the late 70's went completely past Foghat. "Fool for the City" is that Foghat album that belongs in any collection of rock listener.

The MFSL reissue retains the enormous Drive the original, but just now even space and naturalness. A treat for audiophile who want to let it rip once, without having to make fun of the sound. The re-issue appears as 180g vinyl LP in gatefold cover with consecutive serial number. Half-speed mastering by Rob Loverde.
