Ella Fitzgerald delivered in the 1950s, several successful albums of pre-rock era, and in November 1958 Ella Swings Lightly was recorded in Hollywood and appeared in 1959 as a stereo release. The following year, the album should win the Grammy for Best Jazz Solo Performance, with solo here is only based on the voice. The extremely cheerful and joyful songs are accompanied by a project led by Marty Paich Orchestra.
