Michel Camilo - Triangulo (multi - channel hybrid SACD)

Artist: Michel Camilo

Genre: Latin Jazz / World Jazz

Label: Telarc

With the power of a Horace Silver and the rhythmic dynamics of McCoy Tyner Michel Camilo is a virtuoso master of 88 black and white keys. The man from Santo Domingo played with Paquito D'Rivera, Eddie Daniels, Bobby McFerrin, Jeff Porcaro, Toots Thielemans, Dizzy Gillespie and wrote for Manhattan Transfer the famous hit "Why Not". Now the lively pianist presents a new solo album, recorded in trio with bassist Anthony Jackson and drummer Horacio 'El Negro' Hernandez. Triangulo contains ten pieces, with which Michel Camilo moves once more as stylistically confident wanderer between worlds of pop, jazz and Afro-Cuban music. The result is a most remarkable piano-trio album.
