Timothy Seelig & Turtle Creek Chorale - Psalms

Published in 1998

The traditional white characteristics of Psalms are more than 3000 years a great inspiration for composers. The Turtle Creek Chorale known from Dallas has compiled from the rich selection of a unique program of psalms by contemporary composers. Two hundred male voices and the powerful organ of the Meyerson Symphony Center are heard on this recording, accompanied by a brass ensemble, harp and percussion. All this gives a poignant sound. The challenge for "Prof." Keith Johnson was to capture the nuances and at the same time the dynamics of the music. The result is one of the best HDCD recordings to date. They moved, with tears and gives the audience an unforgettable musical experience. Goosebumps guaranteed!
