QED Reference X-Tube 400 2 x 4.00 mm² - Speaker Cable
A problem in the cable design is the fact that with increasing conductor cross-section increases, the cable capacitance. One approach is to divide into multiple individually insulated wires, so realized as in QED Genesis.
Goal in the development of X-Tube design was to keep the performance at the level of the Genesis cable, but to reduce by one a simpler production process, the cost. In X-Tube the conductor material has a tube-like shape to a hollow, foamed dielectric that significantly consists of air. X-Tube is electrically same properties as Multilitzenkabel, but is much cheaper and easier to assemble.
